Hello,
I'm returning to AO yet again and I'd like to know if there are any social/culture differences between RK-1 and 2? Also, I'm playing in Southern California so it would be helpful to know if one of the servers would provide a better connection as well.
Thanks

As far as I know both server are in one building. So no server should offer you a "better connection".
Concerning your social/cultural differences... I bet there are differences, but I can't name them. In the end you could try both servers and pick the one you like the community more. Or hope that one of the persons playing actively on both server sees your questions and gives you a better answer.

Hiya!
Maybe if you can give us an idea of your favoured playstyle we can point out things available on each server or places where you can look at things for yourself.
Without many players being on both servers.. you are likely to get incredibly biased answers!!!
Take care,

I guess I'm just wondering if one server has more OT vs. Clans or if one server has more RP'rs vs PvP'ers and things like that. I tend to favor a light RP/social environment
Thank you for the responses btw.

Ahh, see thats where I am incredibly biased.
I am in a guild with RP roots, where we socialise a lot and participate in a lot across Rubi-Ka and the Shadowlands... infact most members of the AOU team can tick that box!!
Why not check out the guild database (look at the links in the navigation on the left of the screen under Multimedia!) and then you can filter for what you are looking for and find links to places where you can get more information, or to people who you can ask more questions to!

So where in SoCal? I'm from Redding myself. Nice to see another player from my home state.

I'm in L.A., and yes it's nice to meet other So. Cal. players.
