Hello,

I was wondering what fixer weapon to pickup endgame on RK with a froob account. I know that Blinded Blackbirds are pretty good, but they only go up to QL 105... Just a high QL Mausser Chemical Streamer?

Blinded blackbirds may only go upto quality level 105 but that doesnt mean there the same as a normal ql 105 gun, there a special weapon and good upto 200 , froob wise you can't really do much better then a blinded blackbird.

Other guns of note worthy mention (while a bit old and slightly obsolete) are the chemical mausser and the manex catastrophe (man I loved that gun and its 10k bursts ><), some also say the sol chironis but I never really liked the high end versions of that gun

If you dont mind sinking IP into pistol, illicit laser backups where fairly decent when I used them aswell

Just before SL came out, ILB's were the flavor of the month, but fixers had to increase pistol, which used a reset point later on by a few of us.

It is harder and harder to find a Manex these days. Good luck on finding a ql200 one. I have one, but I wouldn't sell it for a billion credits.

The MCS was a great gun. Fast firing and relatively more consistent than the Manex. Didn't do the same amount of damage though...but of course, the speed made up for it.

The Sol Chronis was only okay. Some people swore by them. I tried it and went back to the MCS.

One you didn't mention was a Kerans Grinner. They add sense, have a great rate of fire and a pretty quick burst. I swapped a lot between the MCS and the Grinner. The Manex was for special occasions.

Dual Russian Good Days was a fun setup but you could easily kill yourself on something that had a reflect.

theres a reason I didn't mention the kerans , its a fantastic starting weapon and is great until your around 50, at which point you realize that its damage just inst going up per ql enough and that your getting enough inits to make the stronger guns (chem/manex etc) to the same rate of fire, at high levels the kerans is just a sense buff gun. And in a similar sense the good days are good low level weapons but there damage doesnt go up enough to keep them in the running.

This is my list for top RK weapons for your fixer:

2x Blinded Blackbirds: Great damage, fast burst (easy 9 second burst)

Manex Catastrophe December: Silly damage, but takes some inits to get it fast and of course you will never manage a 9 second burst as a froob, but more of a 30-40 second burst that will do massive damage

2x Illicit Laser Backups Intra Edition: Again good damage, fast speed and a nice burst recharge, nice mods on the guns aswell, only downside is the pistol skill required to get them on.

Chemical Mausser Streamer: Good damage, good burst, easy to get. Only down side is no modifiers on the gun, hence it gets put low down in the list.

Sol Chironis System: Would suggest this as a last possibility, its fast, but at high level thats a moot point really, its got a reasonable burst cycle although not as good as most of the others, and its damage is fair, if a bit lacking compared to the ones above its barely better then a kerans or russian good day so they could be good alternatives aswell if you have to resort to these measures because you can't obtain any of the above

have you looked at the new weapon kits on a Mauser... you can add burst, clip size to it....

unfortunatly the upgrade kits for the SMG don't do much for the froob scene, gives a higher min damage which is nice but lowers the max damage and also raises the requirements substantially, to the point where it might be hard to equip as a froob.

And since your confined to RK you dont have to worry about min damage as much anyway so it seems to be more of a needlessly expensive upgrade, specially as there still not quite as good as the blinded black birds or such... although if you wanna break the mold and do something different, I can think of worse things you could use. <grabs a set of paper hammers and goes a hunting>
