im a lvl 110 fixer using lvl 50ish armor. im using a combination of miy's ranged and carbonum. i dont really know what armor would be best for me to get at this point. any help is appreciated.

hmm 110... well Cyborg deathsquad armours always good for fixers, if a bit of a pain to get. Padded love if you've got the stamina, a set of Miys ranged would be good aswell

Cyborgs drop it, so if you kill them you could probably get a set of that and a set of Miys and choose between them, or you can buy it from player stores

Depending on your affiliation, you could also try either Omni Tek Steel Ribbed or Clan Apocalypse Leather Armour.

Oh yeah I totally forgot about them, I wish they'd been around when I was a plucky little fixer ?é?¼_?é?¼

These are player crafted armor.... As Uki said.. they are sided.

The Omni-Tek Steel-Ribbed is obviously for Omnis and the trade skill can be found here... http://www.ao-universe.com/main.php?sit ... nk=0&id=76
although the description says "Omni sided armor which neutrals can use, made from..." neutrals can't wear Omni-Tek Steel-Ribbed...

for that you need Clan Apocalypse Leather Armor, which can be worn by both Neutrals and Clan.
