Playing Ao with firewall......

AO is the main topic, but you can also talk about things like the latest console game you've played, web comics, movies, music, etc. as they pertain to your AO experience.

Playing Ao with firewall......

Post by OTdude » Wed Jun 11, 2008 6:00 am

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to play Anarchy Online with the Firewall on?

As far as I know, theres no way to turn it off because it wasnt my computer in the first place. Its my girlfriends computer, and it was her dads computer. He has a password on it to change the settings, however the main problem is that he is in jail.

So as far as I know, theres no way it can be turned off..

Thanks :)

Just allow Client.exe to run (You start Ao with Anarchy.exe, but Client.exe actually connect to servers).

Also, if it's a matter of ports, allow 7012-7013 and 7500-7600.

She told me she couldnt even download it. She said "my comp froze in the middle of the begining of the download cuz the data exicution protection thingy and the firewall"

Idk what a data execution protection thing is or how it works...

Any other ideas O.o?

Torrent it? Or transfer it by means of portable memory thingies like external HD, USB key or DvD (that way you'll also transfer your settings, friend list, ignore list, etc...)
