AO-Universe

Hey all,

I was just wondering if someone could possibly tell me how to make my own AO Launcher skins? I've seen the ones here on this site and I like them, but all the same, I'd like to learn how to make 'em...

So, if anyone could tell me how, I'd be much obliged..

launcher skins are the absolute easiest thing you could possibly want to mod in AO! Find a current launcher, C:\Program Files\Funcom\Anarchy Online\cd_image\data\launcher\skins is default path. The bitmap image titled "Bg" is what you need to look for, check the stats/ dimensions of that file then just make sure the new image fits in that area. Keep in mind the top 2/3 of the image is filled with the usual message from FC, and keep that section of the image a light color (gray/ white) since the 'character already logged in' message and other alert boxes are evidently transparent (had it all black and it looked very nice until an alert box popped up and I couldn't read a thing in it!).
