This document explains all parts of the Guild Database and how it works.
To submit a guild to the database, you have to be registered and logged in on this site. Showing information and searching for guilds can be done as guest.
To edit your Profiles, look in your
Profile.

Add a Guild: The first step to submit your guild is to collect the basic data about the guild. For this, simply insert your characters name in the Verification page. The main information will be filled out then directly. Should the connection to the AO-server fail, you will be notified about this and need to insert the basic information on your own. Subscription Formular: Basic Info: This information should usually be filled out already, and kept untouched. Guild Description: Short Description of your Guild Use this field to enter a short description about your guild. Keep it to the important points; people who are interested will more likely read the full description then. Full Description of your Guild Enter the full description of your guild here. You can use BB-Codes for text-decoration, if required. Contact Names Enter the names of the people who are mainly responsible for recruiting in your guild. Use ingame-names, and seperate them with a comma. They will be linked to the AO-website character profile. Website Adress Enter your guilds website-adress. Guild Logo You can upload a logo of your guild, if you have one. The logo should not be bigger then 40kb in filesize, and not exceed the limits of 256x600px. Guild Search Flags, Categories and Settings: The following options should be set with care. People who search for guilds or look at your profile might rely on this information. Guild Keywords You can enter keywords here, that fit your guild. It is optional, however it might help to filter guilds for certain criteria that can not be set with the options above. Clicking on the Show Keywords will show you a list of all keywords used by others. Often used keywords (5+) will be displayed bigger. Users able to edit this Profile In this field you can enter the usernames of people you would like to be able to edit this guild profile. The names have to be the usernames people are registered with on AOU. If you enter an invalid name, you will be notified. General Information: The Guilds Members Data is updated periodically, to help keep those details up to date. Users who do not update their profiles in a while (3 months) will get a notification that their content might be outdated. Guilds who's members have submitted a BGS-Profile will have a link displayed on bottom of the Guild-Page, to search for those BGS-Profiles. Content and Abuse: We (AO-Universe Team) are not responsible for user-submitted content.
