How much impact do you have on your local environment?

It is rare on Rubi-Ka for new businesses to take on property throughout our cities.

The structure of the buildings stays relatively consistent and perhaps the biggest aesthetic change to Rome in the last months has been the introduction of some new street signs advising people on how to find the new Agency building.

What is constricting the development of the cities? Has the Rubi-Kan community never considered to put in appeals for change... I am sure they have. It is not like our community to sit and be quiet when they want new developments to enhance their day to day lives on the planet.

Is it not time though for there to be less talking and less suggestions and actually a move towards making more happen. The cities of Rome have been bustling with the introduction of the Agency building. If there were other reasons to visit the city, more traffic.. more people with credits to spend and get involved -- this has the potential to really give the feeling of being part of something a boost. It is so often that I travel to Omni1 Entertainment and see nobody but the Bronto Burger Sales woman. What can we do to enable growth and change?

A development that could be considered is a local investment project. Where the local communities can contribute their ideas and suggestions to a Board. The Board could give approval sought by the local authorities for projects they want to put forward for consideration which can then be moved forwards through the development cycle to have more thought and energy put into the finer details. The community would then be given the go ahead to vote on one new development per year for the city they are resident in. This project would then need financial backing from its residents to allow building materials to be bought, for employees to have their salaries sustained for a five year period and for investments to be made in that development.

This suggestion would give everyone who is a registered resident of, for example Rome District, the chance to be an instrumental part in their cities development. Thinking further afield to potentials in Omni-1 Entertainment District and finally getting a chance to develop the flooded areas or getting rid of the containers in the sewer area and making the area less likely to be a hang out for vagrants and more for people to feel safe going to their apartments.

A local investment project could be a key towards engaging more members of the community. It could help build bridges between organizations and build on working relationships. It could provide a platform for change.. for actually giving people a voice that isn't just lost in a pile of paperwork, but that works via accessible terminals for their home city.
I think it is exactly what our community needs. A reason for investment, a stake in their futures.
