Work gets done at NLCC Meeting!
by Scoopx 12th August 29484 Atlantean - Newland City Council Meeting, Sunday August 8, 29484 Will wonders never cease. Some actual work was completed at the recent Newland City Council meeting. Even with the myriad number of people attending, this month's meeting went smoothly. Expected Fireworks Fizzle at NLC
by Scoopx 10th June 29484 Atlantean - Last Sunday, June 6th, 29484 was the latest Newland City Council meeting. In preparation, I girded myself up with the latest Miiir Kevlar reinforced business suit and applied reactive armor to my Camera-bot. Over the last few months a few dissident Neutral Affiliates have disrupted NLC meetings with allegations that Minister of Security General "Agrestus" Wright of the Third Faction abused his authority and allowed neutral citizens to be *tortured* by the nefarious Omni-Reform. Repeatedly Mayor "Toog" King asked these groups to put forth a formal complaint to General Hekkat so that the matter could be investigated by the Newland Militia. Instead, these groups used the "open forum" atmosphere of previous meetings to disrupt and hijack the agenda so that they could put forth their vicious innuendos and slander against Minister Wright. Finally, Mayor King took a tough stance and they backed down and filed a complaint. The structure of the buildings stays relatively consistent and perhaps the biggest aesthetic change to Rome in the last months has been the introduction of some new street signs advising people on how to find the new Agency building.
