Protect Leets across Rubi-Ka by Caitriin Court
11th May 29483
Atlantean - When was the last time you saw a leet being lovingly looked after by its owner? Perhaps you cannot remember. Perhaps your last memory of a leet is seeing one dying in a field.

Omni-Med themselves state that Leets are desiese carriers, surely they can't be wrong!
They also breed like wildfire, left unchecked they could do significant damage to Rubi-Ka, they are already doing damage to parts of Penumbra and the Yuttos (pasafists we all know) even hunt them for this reason...

Perhaps you should reconsider your argument, Snakebite. I believe your points all refer to citizens of Rubi-Ka too, should the opifex, solitus and atrox therefore also be hunted?

In addition, billboards advertise a lot of things, it doesn't mean that the opinion they state is the only one or that the way of thinking has to be adopted by everyone who reads it.

How many times have you passed a "no running" sign and actually slowed to a walking pace?

I don't think the other 'Human' races can be classed in the same way, you're more lightly to get sick after one of them has shot you than from any illnesses they may be 'carrying'...

I wasn't aware that Public Health warnings from Omni-Med or from Omni-Tek in general were to be considered as 'advertising'...
I was under the impression that the 'Omni-Tek Family' was there to 'help' us...!
Are you suggesting that Omni-Med could possibly be wrong?
As a Clanner born on Rubi-Ka I don't have the intense hatred of Omni-Tek that the original Clan Members had/have, however I find this possibility very interesting!

So, now you're saying that OT-Med doesn't update it's data/instructions?

But for Buffys sake.
Those posters are hanging in the subway and other abandon places.
The subway have been closed down for years. Why on Ka should they hang up new posters there?
The posters dosent hang on other places. I don't think I ever have seen that info on billboards.
They might do it in clanner citys, but I doubt that Omni-Tek goes in there and update the info regulary

And another thing.
Leets are an ingredient in the dish called Leet-pie.
Do you think it would pass the health inspection if the meat was desiesed?

In a word... YES!

Sheep, Cows, Rabbits all carry some quite nasty desieses, but they are still passed fit to eat on Sol...

Well, i haven't been to other solar systems so i don't know how they do it there, but i doubt that it would pass as food here if the meat was bad.
I'm sure Omni-Med see to it that our food is free of desises

Think of the histories, rats were fine to eat in Sols 17th century, however the fleas they carry could spread a desiese called the 'Plague' (don't ask I don't know) which at the time was considered quite bad I belive...

Just becuse they carry something we don't want to catch, doesn't mean the meats bad!
