Community - What is your age?

Postby Khuri » Tue Feb 05, 2008 9:26 am

While looking through the forums, i noticed this thread where several people wrote their age together with a welcome to our new community member RealTheodore. Welcome to the game :)
While i count myself to the general mass of people that fit in this group of players
theophrast wrote:in AO where the typical player IMHO is at least twentysomething

i found it really interesting to see what age-range we got here.
Time for a new poll! Hope no one gets offended i did those "age groups" :)

As previously stated, I'm 39 (40 in June)...
I'm also Male (since we seem to be looking at demographics...)
Started Pen & Paper RPGing when I was about 14 (when the snitz in computers was the ZX80/81 with a 16k RamPack...)

I don't think so; there is another guy who announced the birth of his grandson on OT OOC. So, he should be as old as you, if not older.
;P

Right now the statistic shows a pretty nice Gaussian distribution... amazing :)

Nadab, maybe we can call you the "Elder of AOU" afterwards? ;)

If you'd scale options differently, hits would be probably more irregular. But still within normal distribution. Reason probably being that AO is runing for 7 years now and lots of players have grown "old" with it.

Spectrum here, and before you get into another coughing section, be glad if you'll live long enough to match Nadab in age. I know it's imposible to think about what or how it will be in 40+ years, but life moves on and so do years.

I'm 31 been in Ao since late 2004 early 2005 ish I deleted my original chars so not sure on an exact date. And whats wrong with 40? COuld be worse you could be 50 or 70..I once met a 65 yr old that still plays Ao since its beta version. Age is just a number what matters is how you handle it.
